epx schemas

Reads custom schemas, the attribute sets that extend Emporix entities. TYPES lists the entity types a schema applies to and ATTRIBUTES counts its top-level attributes (-o json prints their definitions). epx schemas references reads schema references and epx schemas types the entity types that have schemas. Its reads require different OAuth scopes; the help of each names them. Opt-in: epx requests a write-capable scope for a read only when given --allow-write-scope. Its writes require the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas [flags], epx schemas [command] Flags: only the global flags. Subcommands

epx schemas create

Create a schema. Creates a schema from the JSON in --file: its name (translations), the entity types it extends and its attributes, such as epx schemas parse -o json prints them once a name and types are added. It prints the id that Emporix answers with; one that exists already is a conflict. Name entity types by their ids, with _, such as VENDOR_LOCATION. Localized text in the body is a map of translations, e.g. {"en": "Acme", "de": "Acme"}, as -o json of a read prints it, sent with Content-Language: *. Emporix refuses a string in its place. Changes data: on a terminal, epx asks before it sends POST. --yes sends without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -); --dry-run prints the request instead of sending it. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas create [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).
  • --file <PATH>
JSON request body in PATH, sent byte for byte (- reads standard input; sending it then needs --yes; required).
  • -o, --output <format>
Format of the response: json or yaml. Default: json.
  • --yes
Send without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -).
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas delete

Delete a schema. Deletes the schema ID, every version of it. Emporix answers an unknown ID as a deleted one (204), so epx exits with 0. Deletes data, which cannot be undone. On a terminal, epx sends DELETE only once you type ID at its prompt. --yes sends without asking (required without a terminal); --dry-run prints the request instead of sending it. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas delete ID [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).
  • -o, --output <format>
Format of the response: json or yaml. Default: json.
  • --yes
Send without asking (required without a terminal).
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas get

Show one schema. No OAuth scope is needed. Command: epx schemas get ID [flags] Flags
  • --columns <names>
Print only these columns of table and csv, in this order: comma-separated names (any case) among ID, NAME, TYPES, ATTRIBUTES, VERSION.
  • --language <language>
Language of localized table text; a missing translation shows another, labeled (-o json prints all). Default: en.
  • --no-headers
Print table and csv without the header row.
  • -o, --output <format>
Output format: table, json, yaml or csv (csv: the table’s rows; json and yaml: the whole response). Default: table.
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas list

List schemas. No OAuth scope is needed. Command: epx schemas list [flags] Flags
  • --limit <n>
Print at most n items; paged reads stop early where they safely can (0: every item).
  • --no-headers
Print table and csv without the header row.
  • -o, --output <format>
Output format: table, json, yaml or csv (csv: the table’s rows; json and yaml: the whole response). Default: table.
  • --query <filter>
Emporix q filter, passed as given, e.g. code:(A1,A2); space-separated conditions must all match (fields mostly as in -o json).
  • --sort <order>
Emporix sort order, passed as given, e.g. code or name.en:desc, code; fields mostly as in -o json (Emporix may ignore an unknown one).
  • --stream
Print items as JSON Lines as soon as they are checked, page by page on paged lists, reading up to 10000 pages where a list without it stops after 1000: a check failing on a later page exits 1 after the pages before it (excludes -o, --columns and --no-headers).
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas parse

Parse a JSON schema file into a schema. Parses the JSON schema file of --json-schema into the schema that Emporix makes of it, and stores nothing: the table lists its attributes; -o json prints the schema, which epx schemas create takes once its missing members, such as its name and types, are added, or, with --id, epx schemas update ID. Changes nothing: Emporix serves this read as POST with a multipart/form-data body, which the flags make. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Opt-in: epx requests a write-capable scope for a read only when given --allow-write-scope. Command: epx schemas parse [flags] Flags
  • --allow-write-scope
Opt in to requesting schema.schema_manage, which can also change data (required).
  • --columns <names>
Print only these columns of table and csv, in this order: comma-separated names (any case) among KEY, TYPE, REQUIRED, LOCALIZED, READ ONLY.
  • --id <ID>
ID of the schema that the file updates.
  • --json-schema <PATH>
JSON schema file in PATH to parse (required).
  • --no-headers
Print table and csv without the header row.
  • -o, --output <format>
Output format: table, json, yaml or csv (csv: the table’s rows; json and yaml: the whole response). Default: table.
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas references

Read, create, change and delete schema references. Reads schema references: schemas uploaded as a JSON schema file, for attribute types that schemas cannot define. TYPES lists the entity types a reference applies to; the file’s URL is only in -o json. Its reads need no OAuth scope. Its writes require the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas references [flags], epx schemas references [command] Flags: only the global flags. Subcommands

epx schemas references create

Create a schema reference. Creates a schema reference: the JSON schema file of --json-schema with the JSON in --file, which names the reference and the entity types it applies to, such as {"name": {"en": "Specifications"}, "types": ["PRODUCT"]}. It prints the id that Emporix answers with; one that exists already is a conflict. It sends both as a multipart/form-data body, the file as its file field. Name entity types by their ids, with _, such as VENDOR_LOCATION. A read of a reference shows that type as VENDOR.LOCATION; a write that sends it so makes Emporix answer reads of references with 500. Command: epx schemas references create [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).
  • --file <PATH>
JSON in PATH, sent byte for byte as the body field of the form (- reads standard input; sending it then needs --yes; required).
  • --json-schema <PATH>
JSON schema file in PATH that the reference holds (required).
  • -o, --output <format>
Format of the response: json or yaml. Default: json.
  • --yes
Send without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -).
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas references delete

Delete a schema reference. Deletes the schema reference ID. The JSON schema file that it holds stays where Emporix stored it. Command: epx schemas references delete ID [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).
  • -o, --output <format>
Format of the response: json or yaml. Default: json.
  • --yes
Send without asking (required without a terminal).
Also takes the global flags.

  • --columns <names>
Print only these columns of table and csv, in this order: comma-separated names (any case) among ID, NAME, TYPES, VERSION.
  • --language <language>

Print only these columns of table and csv, in this order: comma-separated names (any case) among ID, NAME, TYPES, VERSION.
  • --language <language>
Language of localized table text; a missing translation shows another, labeled (-o json prints all). Default: en.

Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas references update

Replace a schema reference. Replaces the schema reference ID: the JSON schema file of --json-schema with the JSON in --file, which names the reference, its types and, as metadata.version, the version that it replaces (VERSION in epx schemas references get ID). An unknown ID is not found. It sends both as a multipart/form-data body, the file as its file field. Name entity types by their ids, with _, such as VENDOR_LOCATION. A read of a reference shows that type as VENDOR.LOCATION; a write that sends it so makes Emporix answer reads of references with 500. Localized text in the body is a map of translations, e.g. {"en": "Acme", "de": "Acme"}, as -o json of a read prints it, sent with Content-Language: *. Emporix refuses a string in its place. Changes data: on a terminal, epx asks before it sends PUT. --yes sends without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -); --dry-run prints the request instead of sending it. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas references update ID [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).

  • --columns <names>
Print only these columns of table and csv, in this order: comma-separated names (any case) among TYPE.
  • --stream
Print items as JSON Lines as soon as they are checked, page by page on paged lists, reading up to 10000 pages where a list without it stops after 1000: a check failing on a later page exits 1 after the pages before it (excludes -o, --columns and --no-headers).
Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas update

Replace a schema. Replaces the schema ID with the JSON in --file: its name, types and attributes and, optionally, as metadata.version, the version that it replaces (VERSION in epx schemas get ID; an older one is a conflict). Every update, with a version or without, releases a new version of the schema. An unknown ID is not found. Changes data: on a terminal, epx asks before it sends PUT. --yes sends without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -); --dry-run prints the request instead of sending it. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas update ID [flags] Flags

Also takes the global flags.

epx schemas update-types

Change the entity types of a schema. Sets the entity types of the schema ID to those of the JSON array in --file, such as ["PRODUCT", "ORDER"], in the version that --version names: the latest is VERSION in epx schemas get ID, and an earlier one may be named too. --mode ADD adds the types instead, REMOVE removes them. It releases no new version of the schema. An unknown ID is not found. Name entity types by their ids, with _, such as VENDOR_LOCATION. Changes data: on a terminal, epx asks before it sends PUT. --yes sends without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -); --dry-run prints the request instead of sending it. Requires the schema.schema_manage scope. Command: epx schemas update-types ID [flags] Flags
  • --dry-run
Print the request instead of sending it (excludes -o).
  • --file <PATH>
JSON request body in PATH, sent byte for byte (- reads standard input; sending it then needs --yes; required).
  • --mode <MODE>
MODE in which the types given change the schema’s (REPLACE without it): REPLACE, ADD or REMOVE.
  • -o, --output <format>
Format of the response: json or yaml. Default: json.
  • --version <VERSION>
VERSION of the schema whose types change, a whole number (required).
  • --yes
Send without asking (required without a terminal, or with --file -).
Also takes the global flags.
